Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has many fans all over the world and India is no exception.

The Liberal party leader is making his debut trip to India very soon.

Trudeau is on a week-long trip to India from February 17 to 24. The Canadian PM, who drew great support from everywhere for his humanitarian stance on the Syrian refugee crisis, believes that India and Canada have a lot in common, including a commitment to diversity, democracy, freedom, and the rule of law.

As reported by DNA, Trudeau said:

The more than one million Canadians of Indian origin make the relationship between our two countries a truly special one. I look forward to meeting with Prime Minister Modi, and further strengthening the Canada-India friendship.

During his visit, the Canadian PM will meet Indian leaders from the government as well as businesses with an aim to strengthen Indo-Canada economic ties. 

Trudeau is reportedly scheduled to visit Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Agra, New Delhi and Gujarat.
