Hardeep, a TV journalist working in Delhi, was shot dead by his neighbour Rinku just because he objected to the loud music being played at the latter’s party, reported Aaj Tak

The incident occurred late on Sunday night in South Delhi.

Hardeep, who was at his Vasant Kunj home with friends, lived above a gym owned by Rinku, who was hosting a party that night. When the music became unbearably loud, Hardeep went downstairs to ask Rinku to turn down the volume. However, a drunk Rinku began abusing Hardeep, so the journalist returned to his house.

However, an enraged Rinku then barged into Hardeep’s house brandishing a gun and allegedly beat him up before shooting him dead.

Rinku even threatened Hardeep’s friends of dire consequences before running away.

Hardeep’s friends dialled ‘100’ to call the police but when they received no response, they rushed him to Safdarjung Hospital in an auto. Unfortunately, Hardeep couldn’t be saved.

The police is probing the matter but haven’t been able to arrest the accused Rinku because he’s absconding. Hardeep was from Kaithal in Haryana and is survived by his parents.
