SRK recently went back to his alma mater, Hansraj College of Delhi University, for the release of the anthem song from his upcoming film ‘Fan’. And while at it, he even received his much delayed Bachelors in Economics degree from the institution.

This certificate was due since he passed out in 1988. But in his pursuit of making a name for himself in Bollywood, the actor moved bag and dreams to the maximum city. Of course, the certificate in question never came in the way of his spectacular journey.

And as King Khan took to the stage, the crowd as usual went hysterical. And Shah Rukh Khan, who thrives on his fans, made sure all of them had a good time, From impromptu dialogues from his films to sharing interesting anecdotes from his DU life, King Khan left everyone amused and entertained. Well, the students deserved it too – they had been waiting since 9 am at the college ground even as the event was scheduled for 4.30 pm!

“This is a very special moment for me. I am back in my college, which I left in 1988. I am missing only one thing – my children are not with me today, as I wanted to show them every corner of my college,” Shah Rukh said at the event.

While presenting him the degree, Hansraj College Principal Rama Sharma said the institution is proud of its superstar student. “We are very happy to present him the degree after so many years. We had kept his degree safely in our college. We are proud to bestow him with it today,” Sharma said.

We say, better late than never!

Interestingly, he was honoured with a doctorate from the Edinburgh university in October last year, for his contribution to Arts & Cinema.
