Indian Railways Going Chic, To Introduce 25 Varieties Of Tea For Passengers Soon

In what may sound as a jumbo treat for all the tea-lovers, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is soon going to introduce 25 varieties of tea during the journey. That is not all, these varieties can be further customised to more than 12,000 ways as per customer requirements.

IRCTC has collaborated with Chaayos, a leading tea cafe chain to ensure the timely delivery of tea and snacks to their train seats.  A mobile application has been launched for the same through which passengers can place their orders

The order will have to be placed two hours ahead of the train’s arrival time, which can be made on www.ecatering.irctc.co.in or by calling a toll-free number (1800-1034-139).

“Passengers can also book their orders through app. On every e-catering orders of over Rs 300, passengers will cashback of 10 per cent,”said Arun Kumar Manocha, chairman, IRCTC as per a report by Zee News. The service will be first started at New Delhi Railway station. If it comes out successful, IRCTC will plan to extend it to other railway stations of Delhi and Mumbai.
