India Is The Fourth Strongest Military Power In The World, Here Are The Numbers To Prove It

The Global Fire Power (GFP) ranking is out and India stands at the fourth position behind only USA, Russia and China. The list shows the military strength of the countries considering various factors including geographical, natural resource reliance and current economic health.

A total of 126 countries have been included in the list GFP list. The countries have been given power index scores; the perfect score being 0.0000 which is realistically unattainable due to the number of factors considered per country. India has a power index rank of 0.2698.

The different sections of the list includes, Manpower, Landsystems, Airpower, Resources(Pertroleum), Logistical, Financial and Geography. The total number of active frontline personnel in India is 1,325,000 and active reserve personnel is 2,143,000.
