The school also asked Class 12th students to write a letter to district police chief complaining about the rise in sale of liquor in their area and nuisance created by bootleggers, despite Gujarat being a dry state.

Both these questions have forced the education authorities to initiate an inquiry into the matter. Talking to media, Gandhinagar District Education Officer Bharat Vadher, said:

“A cluster of self-financed schools and those getting grants included these two questions for internal assessment exams held on Saturday. These questions are highly objectionable, and we have initiated an inquiry. Action will be taken after the report comes in.”

The school runs under the Sufalam Shala Vikas Sankul, an organisation of self-financed schools and educational institutions funded by the government in Gandhinagar.
