The app is said to be quite similar to Citymapper and Moovit, both of which are yet to offer their services in India. The move is seen as Google’s effort to competing with public transit journey-planning apps.

Google has said that Delhi Public Transport Offline is an experimental app, so it’s likely still in need of some work.

The app is expected to come in handy for the millions of citizens who commute daily using New Delhi’s public transport systems.
