As rains cause floods across Tamil Nadu and leaves Chennai under water, there were many who came forward to help the affected through recharging their phones. Mostly social media users from other cities like Bengaluru, Kolkata and Mumbai, they offering to recharge the accounts of those who needed them.
Some also urged mobile operators to cut down their call rates.
