Binny Bansal, Flipkart’s CEO has bought a 10,000-sq-ft house, worth Rs 32 crore, in Bengaluru, making it one of the most expensive deals in the city, reports India Today.
The society is located in Koramangala, which is reportedly considered to the be entrepreneurial hub of the city.
With the newly acquired home, the low-key Binny Bansal will have Infosys co-founders Nandan Nilekani and Kris Gopalakrishnan along with Dr Devi Shetty and Rajeev Chandrasekhar as his neighbours, reports Economic Times.
The Economic Times report also states that Sachin Bansal, the other co-founder of Flipkart, also owns a property in the same neighbourhood, though a smaller one. He acquired this asset some years ago.
Bansal bought the home from the Iqbal family, one of the long-time residents of the area and also paid the highest stamp duty for any residential property transaction with the local sub-registrar, reports Business Insider.
The India Today report also says that the 32-year old Flipkart co-founder took loan from two private banks for this deal.
In January this year, Binny Bansal was made the company’s CEO after the top management of the e-commerce giant underwent a major reshuffle.
