Don’t Believe Those Forwards: There Are No Crocodiles On The Loose In Chennai

For some reason there are forwards doing the rounds on social media and other instant messaging apps that claim that there are crocodiles on the loose in the flood waters of Chennai.

The message reportedly claims that crocodiles have escaped from the Madras Crocodile Bank and are on the loose in the flood waters.

This prompted the NGO to issue a statement saying that while they were shut, all their crocodiles were safe and very much in their enclosures. So basically, don’t panic. Here’s what they said:
