Devastating Images From The Severe Floods In Bihar & UP Where The Death Toll Has Risen To 100

There has been no respite from heavy rains in Bihar & eastern UP. Latest reports suggest that more than 100 people have died due to flooding caused by incessant rains in the two states.

IMD has retained the red alert for Bihar for the nest 24 hours, as heavy to very heavy rainfall is still expected in the state.

The conditions are so bad that people are navigating the roads by boats.

Visuals from UP and Bihar are scary as most of the areas get flooded.

Ballia, Jaunpur and Varanasi have been the worst affected cities in UP. The district jail in Ballia had to vacated after the barracks got flooded.

In Bihar, Patna has been badly hit by rains, with most of the residential areas and roads getting submerged in water.

The Indian Air Force has sent two helicopters to Patna to carry out rescue operations in flood-hit areas, reported TOI.
