A woman from Delhi was allegedly gang raped by 23 men in Bikaner, Rajasthan on September 25.
In her FIR, the 28-year old has claimed that she was abducted by two men in an SUV near Khatu Shyam Mandir on Jaipur road. She had gone to Ridmalsar Purohitan in Bikaner to see her plot when the incident happened.
According to Hindustan Times, the woman was raped repeatedly inside the car by two men. They later called six other men who also eventually assaulted her.
“They drove me around near some mines for several hours and repeatedly raped me in the vehicle,” her complaint filed at the Jai Narayan Vyas Colony police station stated.
Her ordeal, however, prolonged when more men assaulted her at a government power substation in Palana village. She was then left at the same spot in the wee hours of September 26th from where she was picked up a day earlier.
Doctors have conducted a medical examination of the victim. However, the report is awaited.
The police has registered a case of rape against two identified suspects, namely Raju and Subhash and has claimed to have recovered condoms from the spot.
“She has recorded her statement before a magistrate under section 164 of the CrPC and repeated what she wrote in the FIR,” Rajendra Singh, circle officer of Sadar was quoted as saying in the report.
According to NDTV, the police managed to nab six other accused after the woman named two suspects and provided the police with the phone numbers and the registration number of the bike on which she was dropped back.
