This Chinese Photograph Is So Big That You Can Zoom In From 1000s Of Metres To See People’s Faces

A Chinese company has reportedly created a photograph with such high resolution that you can zoom in from kilometres away to see people’s facial expressions on it.

The brainchild of  Jinkun Tech, or Bigpixel Technology Corporation, it was taken from the top of the Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai and is apparently 195 gigapixels.

To put it in layman’s terms, a 12-megapixel camera is able to produce an image with 12 million total pixels. And one gigapixel is 1 billion pixels. 

According to Business Insider, it is a collection of images that have been integrated over months using the image-stitching technology.
