Chennai Central Station Gets A Beautiful Makeover, Thanks To 100 NIFT Students

Passengers visiting Chennai Central Station will now be happy to see its colourful makeover, thanks to the remarkable effort by a group of 100 college students. To show their support for the government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, first year students of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Taramani, Chennai, have painted the compound wall of the station. 

The Divisional Railway Manager, Chennai, thanked all the volunteers for their wonderful initiative:

The artwork was based on the thematic representation of Tamil Nadu, its people, arts, crafts and landscapes. And this is how the compound wall looks now:
