CBSE Class 12 Results Declared, Delhi Girl Tops With 99.2% Marks

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) results for class 12th examinations have been declared. The pass percentage is 82%, which has reduced by 0.70% from last year.

Girls outshine boys yet again with a pass percentage of 87.56 as compared to 77.77 per cent of the boys.

Thiruvananthapuram region topped the results with 95.41 pass percentage. Delhi girl M Gayatri from New Green Fields school has topped with 496 marks out of 500, with a whopping 99.2 percentage.

The second rank has been shared by three students- Mythili Mishra (Noida), B Arun (Trivendram) and Saurabh Bhambri (Delhi), scoring 495 marks.

This year the results have been declared earlier than last year. This year a total of 10,40,368 students were registered for the Class XII exams, which includes 6,07,383 boys and 4,32,985 girls.

Students from foreign countries numbered 13,284 had also appeared in the class XII examination and their pass percentage is 92.31.

“The applications for verification of marks should be made online from May 27 to June 2, fee for which will be Rs 300 per subject,” said CBSE spokesperson Rama Sharma about the marks verification procedure to PTI.

The counselling would begin from Tuesday, May 26 and continue till June 8.

The results of CBSE’s class 10 examination would also be announced in a couple of days, an official said to HT .

Students would also be able to know their results through an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) by dialling 24300699 (Delhi), 011-24300699 (other parts of the country). MTNL subscribers can call 28127030 (Delhi) and 011-28127030 (other parts).
