Heard Of Cannahoney? It’s Honey Made From Cannabis & Here’s How It’s Done

There are people who’ve made cakes, brownies and obviously joints out of cannabis. But then, certain people come along and prove that you can pretty much make anything out of God’s green gift, if you have the will and the knowledge. But the last thing you would expect from weed would’ve been honey. But hey, anything’s possible.

Here’s how a 39-year old Frenchman is training bees to do his bidding.

Aptly called Nicholas Trainerbees, the Frenchman has been training bees to make honey out of almost anything.

Having been passionate about nature from early on in his childhood, especially insects, Nicholas has been working with bees and plants for a little over two decades. “I have trained bees to do several things, such as collect sugar from fruits, instead of using flowers,” he said in an interview with CounterCurrent News.com

The bees have been trained to pick the resin from cannabis and subsequently make the honey.

The product, as Nicholas calls it, is “Cannahoney.” Nicholas claimed to have been interested in the health benefits of bee products such as honey, propolis, pollen, wax and royal jelly, and also the benefits related to cannabis. So, according to him if he could get the bees to fuse the two together, it would in effect produce something very healthy.

No, the bees are not getting high in the process.

As Nicholas explains it, bees do not have endocannabinoid system, they process the cannabis resin just like they would for any other plant source. And, the cannahoney produced is not smoked, it is ingested like regular honey.
