Attention Bike Lovers! BMW Is Launching Its 313cc Bikes In India Next Year

If you are a bike lover, this will make you smile. BMW is soon going to launch its smallest bike G310R, the 313cc motorcycle in India. It will be manufactured in partnership with the TVS group.

The bikes will be exported to the company’s home market in Germany as well as countries across Europe and in the US. Speaking to The Times of India, Frank Schloeder, president of BMW India, said,”We have big expectations from the G310R, and there have been a lot of things that are happening behind the scenes.” 

Currently, the company is working on retail and distribution plans for the bike. It is expected to hit the market early next year. The price of the bikes may range between Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh.

What are the bike specifications?

With a 6-speed gearbox and  313cc engine, the bike can produce 34bhp of power and 28Nm of peak torque. The top speed is estimated to be about 144km/h. It will have efficient braking system and ABS as standard fitment.

BMW will also offer individuals to modify accessories of the bike, especially for those who want extra features.

The company is planning to set up its manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu in collaboration with TVS Motor’s Hosur plant. The bikes will be launched in early 2017.
