Army Vehicle Attacked With IED In Pulwama, Encounter Underway

Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama saw fresh violence after an armoured vehicle of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles was attacked near Arihal village.

According to NDTV, an improvised explosive device (IED) was used on the convoy but no casualties have been reported yet.

The regiment’s Casper vehicle was damaged in the attack and soon after heavy firing and stone pelting were reported to have started.

The attack took place during a cordon and search operation in Achabal and a major was heavily injured. 


Other injured soldiers along with the critically injured army major were taken to the 92 base hospital of the army, in Srinagar.
