Three Years After Being Jailed, Sanjay Dutt To Be Released On Thursday

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to be a free man on Thursday.

 After getting several paroles and furloughs, the Yerwada Central Prison authorities on Monday confirmed that the actor will walk out on February 25, reported Indian Express.

Dutt will walk out of the jail around 9 am and will be received by his wife Manyata, children and other family members, reported Times Of India.

As per media reports, prison authorities won’t allow a welcome ceremony planned by the family citing security reasons.

Dutt has been serving the remainder of his five-year sentence for possession of illegal arms in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case. 

He was sentenced by the Supreme Court to a five-year jail term. Since the actor had already served 18 months in jail, he was ordered the complete the remaining 42 months.
