Delhi University Plans To Hire Over 370 Permanent Teachers To Fill All Vacancies

For the first time in 7 years, Delhi University plans to hire over 370 permanent teachers across all departments.

According to Times of India, the HRD Ministry has asked DU to fill up its vacancies by the end of this year. The varsity has invited online applications for 378 posts of assistant professors across 41 departments.

The figure includes 187 general category posts, 55 SC, 100 from OBC, 29 ST and seven from person with disabilities.

TOI report adds that this is the first major recruitment since 2009.

The last date of submitting online applications is February 16, 2017. Meanwhile, the DU vice-chancellor believes that they are expecting aspirants from abroad also to apply.
