A Timeline Of The Many Dramatic Events At JNU Since The ‘Anti-National’ Protest A Year Ago

A year has passed since the day in 2016 when students of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru participated in the event called ‘A country without a post office: against the judicial killing of Afzal Guru and Maqbool Bhatt’. 

The protest marked the beginning of a long, but eventful, chain of events, including country-wide student protests, political battles and name calling, student arrests, national debates on sedition laws and university crackdowns. 

But that wasn’t all. There was also a controversial rape case, a mysterious death of a student and a student who has been missing for over three months.
