Mumbai Rapper Urges The Youth To Fight For Their Rights Because ‘Haq Ki Ladai Zaroori Hai’

Shahana Yasmin

Mumbai-based rapper Naezy is not your regular Honey Singh or Badshah-style rapper. His raps, which are primarily in Urdu, revolve around the locality and the city he grew up in, and his most recent rap calls out the government and everything it’s doing, and not doing.

He starts with the imposition of pointless bans, and the fact that the pockets of everyone in the government are slowly filling up, while there are kids on the street who sleep with nothing but their “maa ki lori.”

Watch it here:

He calls upon the youth of India to do something about the corruption, and the scams, and to join him in calling out a government which was elected to serve us, but serves only themselves.

Because he’s right, “Awaaz uthaana padhega kyun, kyunki haq ki ladai zaroori hai.”
