Whenever you’re around babies, you try really hard to make them laugh, right? From making goofy faces to talking in baby language, you have tried everything out there to make this little human crack a smile. But alas, nothing works, and all you are rewarded with are bouts of tears mixed with hiccups, and the judgmental stares of people who look at you as if you have murdered someone in cold blood.
When it comes to baiting them into becoming friends with you or at least give you a happy smile, even sweets don’t aid your cause. Man, these little people just don’t budge, huh? Well, it’s probably not your fault, or maybe in a way, it kind of is.
According to a study published in the Frontiers in Psychology, if kids burst into tears when they come close to you, it’s probably because they think you’re ugly. Ouch! Babies are mean people.
The study, which was conducted by researchers in China, with 338 participants, found that children rated the ‘hottest’ faces as the most trust worthy ones.
During the study, it was also noted that the trait of judging someone by their looks is not exclusive to babies, but also very common among adult participants as well.
