The spa, named Bjórböðin, is located on the northern tip of Iceland in the village of Árskógssandur. The bath is supposed to have health benefits (like we really needed a reason to go there).
Your bathtub will be filled with beer, brewer’s yeast, hops, and water. There is a beer draught at every tub because a good bath deserves a good drink, and also because the bath water is undrinkable. They have 7 indoor tubs where you could bath alone or with one other person. Drinking beer is available only to people 20 years or older, however, there is no age limit for the bathing experience. Anyone under 16 years of age has to be accompanied by an adult.
