Spilled some wine on your favourite dress and now you are regretting it? Don’t worry, here are 10 common stains and ways to remove those stains, so stop feeling sad for ruining your favourite outfit.
1. Red wine
Put a handful of salt on the stain, let it be till the colour of salt changes to pink. Then, soak your garment in cold water and detergent overnight.
2. Chocolate
Scrape off the excess chocolate from your garment, use a detergent and gently rub the fabric together. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before washing with cold water.
3. Coffee
Soak your stained garment in a solution of warm water, vinegar and dish washing detergent for 15 minutes then rinse it with warm water.
4. Ink
Place a tissue behind the stained area and spray it with hairspray until the ink saturates. Repeat the process till the ink stain fades then rinse the garment with cold water and detergent.
5. Grease
Use a paper towel to get rid of the excess oil then use baby powder to absorb the excess oil. Let it sit for 30 minutes then apply dish washing detergent and water and let it soak overnight.
6. Tomato ketchup
Soak your garment in cold water and dish washing soap overnight.
7. Blood
Run some cold water on the stain, apply detergent and lemon juice and gently massage the stained area with a toothbrush then rinse it off after 15-20 minutes.
8. Mud
Firstly, brush off the excess mud after it dries up. Use a mix of detergent and vinegar and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing it off with warm water.
9. Fruit juice
Soak the stained area in a mixture of dish washing soap and vinegar for 30 minutes then apply lemon juice and leave it on overnight before rinsing the fabric with cold water.
10. Grass
Apply detergent directly on the stain and gently rub the fabric together. Dilute vinegar with water and apply it on the stain for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
