…One Indian man did something over-the-top bizarre to make it to the record books. He sacrificed his set of teeth!

Don’t believe me? Well, here’s his story:

Meet Har Parkash Rishi, a 74-year-old resident of New Delhi, who claims to have set more than 20 records. He now calls himself Guinness Rishi!

Born in 1942 in a cinema hall in New Delhi, Rishi, an auto-parts manufacturer by profession, was always obsessed with setting world records.

He was first mentioned in the Guinness Book in the year 1990 when he, along with two of his friends, rode a scooter for 1001 hours!

Rishi even set another bizarre record when he delivered a pizza from New Delhi to San Francisco!

Woahhh, I wonder how cold the pizza would have been by the time it reached the destination!

He went on to perform bizarre acts such as stuffing 496 straws and 50 burning candles in his mouth, both of which required him to remove every single tooth! According to him, that was the toughest record he had ever set.

“I am the world record holder of 496 straws in my mouth … For that record, I needed space, I had to remove every tooth so that I could put maximum straws in my mouth,” Rishi told Reuters, in an interview.

He also has 500 tattoos on his body, another crazy feat that registered his name in the book of records!

He has 366 flags tattooed, as part of the act!

Fun fact: Rishi doesn’t just keep the records for himself, he even gets his family to partake in record-breaking events

His wife Bimla, holds a record (1991) for writing the world’s shortest will, that reads “All to Son.”

As a lover of body art, the least I can do is salute Guinness Rishi!
