There’s a reason they say a dog is a man’s best friend. Dogs become a part of our family, we name them just like we name our kids, are careful about their health and eating habits, scold them when they do something wrong and love them unconditionally. And it’s always reciprocated!
But unlike us, dogs age faster. They say every calendar year is 7 years in dog years. And it breaks our heart when it’s time for them to go.
And that’s what Robert Kugler faced recently. More than a year ago, Robert’s beloved 9-year-old dog (roughly 63 years in human age), Bella, was diagnosed with cancer that had spread to her lungs, because of which the vet had to amputate one of her legs.
He told Robert that Bella had only 3-6 months to live. Robert was definitely heartbroken, and who wouldn’t be when you realize you’re gonna lose your closest friend and family member?
