Adorable Couple Recreate Their Wedding Day From 1945 For Their 70th Anniversary

If you are wondering that too, you need to read this. On November 24, 2015, Chinese couple, Cao Yuehua (97) and Wang Deyi (98), recreated their wedding day from 1945, complete with his pinned flower and her wedding dress and veil.

The couple first met at a university ball in 1943 and fell in love after their first dance together.

Cao Yuehua was dispatched to India during the Second World War, and the couple kept in touch through the military mail service.

Parents to four children – who helped them relive the occasion – the couple did the same in 2005, and plan on recreating the wedding again for their 100th anniversary.

“They have been together for so long, going through the war, the political turmoil and diseases, and can still stay with each other and love each other. We want to help them to commemorate their love,” the couple’s youngest son, 60-year-old Cao Pangpei told CNN in an interview .

“My parents are 98 this year. Nowadays, they can barely remember many things in their life, but they can recite the love poems they wrote to each other during the wartime,” Cao told CNN .
