To the soothing words of Imagine by John Lennon these three Pakistani comedians talk about the Paris attacks. First of all they’d like to clarify that Pakistan is not the Middle East but on a more serious note they add that they completely understand the pain and shock that has followed the attacks. They draw reference to the attack on the school in Peshawar earlier this year, but they refuse to be apologetic about the actions of a few deranged individuals who claim to be like them.
Their words are backed up with actual facts and figures, and remind us that the refugees are not to be blamed as they are running away from the same people who carry out these attacks. In closing all they want to say is that they’re just like you and me, they share the same frustrations, hopes, and dreams. And all they want too, is a better world for all of us.
