Women Were Asked If They Had The Freedom To Dress. Their Answers Question Our Concept Of Freedom

India will celebrate its 66th Republic Day this 26th January. Like every other year, the national flag will be unfurled, we will sit back and watch the parade on our televisions and celebrate our hard-earned freedom. All this, while we conveniently choose to sideline the freedom that we really deserve and still haven’t got. The freedom to speak, the freedom of press, and the freedom to dress.

When it comes to dressing, Mumbai is still considered an exception because a majority of women seem to feel comfortable wearing short clothes in the city. So, the folks at fame fashion decided to check out the ground reality. They went around asking women if they had the freedom to wear what they wanted to. The answers are unanimous but not what I was expecting.

It’s time we fought for the freedom that we deserve!
