This Documentary On India’s Sewer Cleaners Is A Tight Slap On The Face Of Our Twisted Society

Suparn Pandey

This is quite frankly one of the most edgy and gritty documentaries I have seen. It’s a little old, but the issue it talks about is still as relevant today as it was then. It talks about India’s sewer cleaners, a disorganized workforce consisting of so called “lower castes,” who work in hazardous conditions for a meager salary to ensure that society remains clean and hygienic. The message at the end of the video will leave you in thought.

Be warned. A lot of scenes in this video will could make your stomach turn.
