If you are a fierce supporter of Salman Khan and a compulsive user of Twitter, watch out on those twitching fingers before your innocent little 2 cents land in you trouble. Playback singer Abhijeet and jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali learnt it the hard way after their insensitive tweets (after the verdict on Salman’s hit-and-run case) not only earned them brickbats from all over the country but now also an FIR from Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha.
For the uninitiated, this is how they rocked their own world:
The Twitterati were quick to bash the singer and the jewellery designer as the tweets were not found to be in good taste and i nsensitive towards homeless people. Though Salman Khan has been granted bail today, Farah Khan and Abhijeet are still feeling the heat with their insensitive tweets. An FIR by Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha, lodged at the Kazi Mohammadpur police station, charges the duo of IPC sections 153 (want only giving provocation with intent to cause riot), 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).
Meanwhile, ever since the backlash started pouring in, Abhijeet and Farah Khan Ali seemed to have a sudden change of heart. While Abhijeet was found apologizing on national TV, Farah Ali Khan went a step ahead and tweeted her changed thoughts, which still didn’t appear very courteous towards the homeless:
