Here’s The Trailer For ‘Algorithms’, A Documentary About Blind Chess Players In India

There are some things you can’t do if you’re visually challenged. Thankfully, playing chess is not one of them.

Algorithms is a documentary by sociologist and filmmaker, Ian McDonald. It’s about the thriving but little known world of blind chess in India. Filmed for over three years, Algorithms travels with four talented blind chess players and their story of competing in national and world level chess championships. The movie moves through the maze of the blind chess world and reveals the daily life struggles, anxieties and hopes of these players. The movie stars blind chess players Chardudutta Jhadav, Darpan Inani, SaiKrishna S.T and Anant Kumar Nayak. Algorithms will be releasing across theaters in India on Aug 21, 2015.
