Recently, CBFC demanded 48 cuts in Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz.  Reports suggested that Toilet Ek Prem Katha is the latest film to come under the CBFC scrutiny.

“There have been rumours about certain cuts being demanded in Toilet Ek Prem Katha. The censor board has only demanded 3 verbal cuts in the film that too for instance word ‘Harami’, which is I think is fair enough,” said Akshay Kumar at a press conference in Delhi.

Inspired by  Swachch Bharat campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the film also starring Bhumi Pednekar and Anupam Kher in lead roles, talks  about the importance of a toilet in every household to reduce health problems due to open defecation.

“I don’t think another meeting with him is happening anytime soon. I wish to show my film to our Prime Minister but I think he has got more important things to do for our country and may not have time to watch it,” said the actor on being asked if he has plans to meet PM Modi again.

Kumar had also visited the headquarters of the Sino-India border guarding force ITBP in Delhi. He met jawans and officers of the mountain-warfare trained force and said he recognises the hardships faced by the troops and will take steps to help them get an enhanced recognition, a senior ITBP officer said.

Earlier this year, Kumar, along with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had launched an online government portal called Bharatkeveer where any person can donate funds to the families of those Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) personnel who were killed in the line of duty.
