‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ Is Re-releasing This Friday To Commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas

Uri: The Surgical Strike is getting a re-release this 26th July to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas. The Vicky Kaushal starrer became the second highest-earning movie of 2019 with a collection of Rs. 245.36 crore at the box office.

The film was originally released on 11th January 2019. The story of the film was based on an attack that took place on 18th of September, 2016 on the Indian army base camp situated in Uri, Kashmir and the Indian Army’s subsequent armed response.

The film’s producer Ronnie Screwvala confirmed this news to Mumbai Mirror stating:

The idea of making the film was to instil a sense of pride in the hearts of every Indian and to highlight the incredible service of the armed forces of our nation. I’m honoured to be a part of this initiative wherein Uri will be showcased across 500 theaters in the state on Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Fans of the movie will be glad to know that the team behind Uri, Vicky Kaushal, Aditya Dhar and Ronnie Screwvala, are soon returning in a film called Ashwatthama which will be a superhero movie.
