A woman may have found the love of her life, but it’s her girlfriends who are and will always be her soulmates. And that feeling is beautifully portrayed in the trailer of Aparna Sen’s next film, Sonata.

The film follows the lives of three older single women – a professor, a banker and a journalist – and how their friendship sees them through their highs and lows, as they laugh, bond and pour their hearts out over wine. With three talented actors, Shabana Azmi, Lillete Dubey and Aparna Sen, and an interesting plot, this film looks promising enough to get us impatient for its release.
