After a meeting in Chennai on Friday, both Superstar Rajinikanth and Malaysian Prime Minister Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak took to Twitter to express gratitude towards each other.

The Malaysian PM is currently in Chennai to receive an honorary doctorate from Thanjavur University and was invited by the superstar to his residence over Breakfast.

At a press meet held outside his residence after meeting the Prime Minister, the 66-year-old actor has put all rumours about him replacing Shah Rukh Khan as the new Indian brand ambassador of Malaysia to a rest.

“I wasn’t offered to become brand ambassador. All these are rumours,” said the superstar.

Rajinikanth who’d extensively shot his film Kabali in Malaysia, said that it was a casual long due meeting with Razak that couldn’t happen while he was in the country.

“I shot Kabali in Malaysia and couldn’t get to thank him and express my gratitude to them so he came and we had a cordial meet”.
