Scheduled to release on October 1st, 2015, Puli is a Tamil fantasy-adventure film starring Vijay, Sridevi, Shruti Hassan, Hansika Motwani amongst others, and has been written and directed by Chimbu Deven. The trailer makes it clear that it is going to be a LOTR-esque trip, replete with towering castles, medieval sword fights and a giant talking tortoise.
Sridevi looks especially stunning in her spectacular avatar, and is reminiscent of the White Witch from Narnia in her demeanour. Adorned in gold, and bold eye make-up, Sridevi’s feisty look is spot on for her role as the queen of an ancient kingdom.
