Aamir Khan takes his roles quite seriously. Be it on reel or in real. As an ambassador of the Pani Foundation in Maharashtra, Aamir visited the drought-affected villages of Wathoda and Warud in Amravati district of the state.

Aamir specifically chose Amravati district as it is one of the worst drought-hit regions in the state. He also handpicked Wathoda village because the locals have been working hard to conserve water and his Paani Foundation, which will train villagers from 120 villages in water harvesting, wanted to applaud their efforts, Mumbai Mirror reports

Both Aamir and his wife Kiran have been closely associated with the campaign. The announcement of their collaboration with the Maharashtra government came to fore when Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the same in February this year.
