The controversies just don’t seem to end for adult comedy Great Grand Masti.

After making headlines over being leaked online prior to its release, the filmmakers are now being dragged into a legal tussle. Actor Shiney Ahuja has slapped a case on Balaji Motion Pictures, Ekta Kapoor, Jeetendra and director Inder Kumar, for naming a character after him.

Basing his complaint on a report in Bollywood Hungama that said the film features a character named “Shiney” who is a maid, Shiney has sought that all scenes in the movie featuring the character be removed.

He also wants a written apology, says this Indian Express report.

The character is seen to be making fun of the infamous incident involving Shiney, where he was accused of rape by his domestic help in 2009.

He was convicted and sentenced to seven years in jail but was granted bail by the Bombay High Court. His case is still being heard by the high court, and he has appealed against the trial court’s judgement.
