10 Actors From The Small Screen We Would Love To Watch Again

Isha Jalan

TV in the ’90s was so much better than what we have today. Apart from the various themes that it offered, what made it more special was the actors. They were so good that they carried TV on their strong shoulders. Unfortunately, it’s the same faces that we see in serials these days. It will be refreshing to see these actors comeback on the small screen:

1. Neena Gupta

From Khandaan, Mirza Ghalib , Bharat Ek Khoj to Dard, Saans and Saat Phere, Neena Gupta had a every eventful career on the small screen. We can’t imagine the 90’s TV without her. Exactly why we want the national award winner to cast her magic spell on the TV industry today as well.

2. Kanwaljit Singh

I remember him as the cool single dad from Family Number 1, but that’s not the only show he is famous for. Being a part of both Hindi and Punjabi screen, Kanwaljit has proved time and again how great an actor he is. Saans, Siski and Paramveer Chakra, we can never have enough of him.

3. Shekhar Suman

Be it Dekh Bhai Dekh, Reporter or Ek Raja Ek Rani, we have all adored Shekhar Suman in different roles on the small screen. Though still active on TV with shows like Comedy Circus, wouldn’t it be fun to see him cast his spell again?

4. Pankaj Kapur

Remember Office Office? Oh how we loved to watch Mussadilal’s misery struggle at the sarkari office! While he continues to show us his acting prowess in Bollywood, we would love to see him do that on a daily basis on television.

5. Reema Lagoo

From being the Shrimati in Shriman Shrimati to the nathkhat saas in Tu Tu Main Main, I have always loved Reema Lagoo more for her television roles than her usual motherly roles for Bollywood. This Kal Ho Na Ho actress could definitely add the right kind of drama on the small screen.

6. Renuka Shahane

Does Surabhi ring a bell? One of our favourite anchors, Renuka was as popular with the 90s kids as she was with their parents. Having acted in Kora Kagaz, Sailaab and the likes, Renuka was one of the lead TV actresses back then. It will definitely be interesting to see her comeback.

7. Arun Govil

The only person that comes to our mind when we think of Lord Ram is Arun Govil. He portrayed the role to perfection and we miss him a little too much. Ek comeback role toh banta hai, boss!
