The 47th Emmy Awards was a big deal for Indian cinema as Lust Stories and Sacred Games were nominated in different categories.

Big names like Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and other cast members from the series attended the event as well.

Even though none of the Indian-originated show won at the award, actor Nawazuddin Siddique received an Emmy for playing the role of an Indian businessman called Dilly Mahmood in the British series.

After receiving the trophy, Siddique uploaded a picture on Instagram holding the Emmy with the director of the show.

McMafia is the story about Alex Godman (James Norton) a well-educated hedge-fund manager stuck with his Russian mafia family.
