Veteran Actor-Writer Kader Khan Passes Away At 81

Actor, screenwriter, comedian, and director Kader Khan passed away today due to prolonged illness. He was 81.

He had been living in Canada with his son for the last few years.

Kader Khan was one of the finest Bollywood actors who appeared in over 300 movies in his career. Although his comic timing was his calling card, he was equally proficient in playing intense roles, something he proved with his debut in Daag itself.

A professor of Civil Engineering, before he turned to acting, Kader Khan was also an exemplary screenwriter and director who gifted Bollywood with gems like Amar Akbar Anthony, Coolie, Khoon Bhari Maang etc.

His death is a loss to the industry, and many industry veterans and stars expressed their grief over social media.
