Get Ready For A ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ Reunion At The Upcoming Mumbai Film Festival

If you grew up in the 90’s, trust one of your favourite films would be the quintessential high school sports drama, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. The film that not only gave us some good adrenaline rush as Aamir Khan competed in the cycling race but also music that is evergreen. 

Goes without saying you may have looped the mushy song, Pehla Nasha quite a bit back in the day. And that it always felt Aamir Khan was indeed singing the song himself as Udit Narayan’s voice fit Aamir’s personality the best.

The reason we are reminiscing about the film is because the upcoming Mumbai film festival is all set to host a JJWS-reunion. Yes, you read that right. All the actors who played a pivotal role in the film will come together 24 years later under the same roof for the Movie Mela programme at MAMI. At the Mela, the cast will be part of a panel which will include Aamir Khan, Mamik Singh, Deepak Tijori, Deven Bhojani, Aditya Lakhia, Kiran Zaveri and Pooja Bedi along with Director Mansoor Khan and choreographer Farah Khan.

They will share their experiences and memories on the making of the 1992 cult romantic film. We can’t wait to hear some interesting trivia and scoop about one of the cult classics in Bollywood that feel as fresh and relevant even today.

Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival with Star India is a two day event starting from 20th October at Rangmandir Bandra. The venue transformed into Movie carnival with famous character figurines from different movies and celebrity chats throughout the day.
