It seems like the ongoing ‘Kabali fever’ has made the team of ‘Star Trek Beyond’ nervous.
The Hollywood film is releasing in India on July 22, the same date as Rajnikanth’s upcoming film ‘Kabali’, and considering his star power and how well it is being marketed, promoters of ‘Star Trek Beyond’ are reportedly going an extra mile to ensure that the clash doesn’t dent the movie’s performance.
While ‘Kabali’s unique promotion featuring Rajnikanth’s face on an Air Asia airplane created a stir, the the promoters of the Hollywood sci-fi franchise have released a customised poster showing a Starship Enterprise with Mumbai’s iconic landmarks like the Gateway of India and The Taj Mahal Hotel in the the background.
As a part of the promotional strategy, the promoters are also undertaking ‘spaceship activation’ by stationing a huge remote-controlled ‘spaceship’ at a mall in Mumbai.
Vashu Bhagnani, who’s in-charge of the film’s release in India told The News Minute,
“’Star Trek Beyond’ is rebooted and I believe Indian audiences are ready for the superior experience that it offers. We are just trying to ensure that cinema-goers get a slice of the movie experience right before the release”
