This English Version Of ‘Chaddi Pehen Ke Phool Khila Hai’ Will Give Every ‘90s Kids The Feels

Gaurav Arora

No matter how hip you become in life, there are certain things about your childhood you just can’t undo. In this case, you SHOULD NOT undo. The good, old Jungle Book is one such thing. The name itself has such strong nostalgic value that no ’90s kid can help but get teleported to the leisurely Sundays of the last decade that were so much better because of Mowgli and friends on Doordarshan!

However, much like today, the show had a strong connect with its audiences majorly because of its title track, Jungle jungle baat chali hai, pata chala hai… chaddi pehen ke phool khila hai. Interestingly, the track written by Ghulzar is as fresh today as it was in the ’90s, which just goes on to show that we’re still carrying a little bit of our childhood in our hearts.

And to revoke those happy memories of childhood, Arnab Chakraborty has put up a YouTube video featuring little singers Arika, Prisha, Gati, Aarsha and Arohi happily singing the literal translation of the song in English. Not to mention, you could die of cuteness.
