What happens when Marvels Spider-Man and Venom have a face-off? Well, according to Venom’s director, Ruben Fleischer, this soon might come true.
That’s right! During a recent interview Fleischer mentioned,
That’s where it’s all going to lead. And that’s the exciting thing, because we changed the origin of Venom … in the comics, he evolved from Spider-Man but because of the Marvel-Sony thing we weren’t able to that. And so the thing I think it’s building towards, and will be exciting to see, is when they actually do confront each other.
This news also confirmed that our favourite super villain, Tom Hardy will be reprising the role of Eddie Brock in the sequel.
Spider-Man’s existence in the MCU was earlier in jeopardy when Sony reported that Marvel’s parent company – Disney couldn’t reach a new deal to continue having Spider-Man with them.
However, a new deal was finally struck and Spider-Man remains in the MCU for at least one more solo movie or teaming up.
So, while Spider-Man’s entry in MCU (again) is a great news for all the fans, if this crossover between the superhero (Spider-Man) and the supervillain (Venom) happens, it will be one hell of a ride.
