Veteran Actor & Comedian, Dinyar Contractor Passes Away At The Age Of 79

Veteran actory, Dinyar Contractor, known for his comic timing and his presence on stage as a theater person, passed away on June 05th 2019, Wednesday, early morning, at the age of 79.

Popularly known for his roles in Khichdi and Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma, Contractor had been suffering from various age-related ailments, reports India Today.

Contractor had also been conferred upon with the Padma Shri this year, presented to him by President Ramnath Kovind.

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and others took to Twitter to express their sorrow and offer condolences. 

In a second twee, PM Modi talked about how Contractor had been special to the industry. 

He shall be fondly remembered by the friends, film fraternity, fans and most 90s kids for bringing a warmth to any screen he graced. May his soul rest in peace.
