It’s not every day that you see billionaires standing in queue for their favourite burger. Unless you are Bill Gates.
In an image shared by a Facebook user, Mike Galos, the billionaire is seen standing at Dick’s Drive-In nonchalantly, in a maroon sweater and grey pants, his hands in his pockets with a “I’m here for food” look on his face.
Mike shared the post saying,
“When you’re worth about $100,000,000,000, run the largest charity in the history of the world and stand in line for a burger, fries and Coke at Dick’s like the rest of us.”
Back in 2011, Gates had said,
“I can understand wanting to have millions of dollars, there’s a certain freedom, meaningful freedom, that comes with that. But once you get much beyond that, I have to tell you, it’s the same hamburger. Dick’s has not raised their prices enough.”
People had appreciative reactions once they saw the post. And now, everyone wants to befriend the billionaire.
Apart from being known as a burger fanatic, Gates is also extremely humble of which instances are aplenty.
When asked about his philanthropy, Bill Gates gave an example of people quitting their comforts and making real change in developing countries.
In another instance, when when Microsoft was a public, prosperous company, he continued to fly in economy class. Unperturbed, he sat and read through the whole flight in the middle seat.
Being humble is the way “to go”.
