What’s All The Fuss About The Pumpkin Spice Latte That’s Become India’s Latest ‘It’ Drink

Asmita

It’s an average day. You’re on Instagram doing your own thing, innocently scrolling through your feed, only to find it bombarded with posts raving about Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Put on your curious caps, folks, ’cause Starbucks’ official ‘Fall’ drink, Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) is now available in India, and we’re trying to figure what’s the hype all about?

PSL is a cult. Yep. Roaming around holding a cup of PSL, with glasses on, and no cares for the world. Ah. Sips of delicacy, my my. Now, before you ask us to get a room with PSL (which we will, you betcha), let’s move on to discuss what goes in this drink, that makes it so damn special?

The components of this global favourite are the brand’s signature espresso and milk, with notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove, and ultimately decked with whipped cream and real pumpkin pie spices.

A tall cup of this seasonal drink, available in hot, blended and iced forms, costs around INR 315, and is heaven packed in a cup.

This statement of a drink symbolises the coming of Fall; or as we plebs know it better, the Autumn-Winter onset, and is an annual tradition for many.

To all the drinks we’ve loved before, Pumpkin Spice Latte is here, soo, later.

What do you think about PSL? Worthy of all the hype?
